Currently Ryan holds a Diploma in Television Broadcasting and Video Production from Canadore College in North Bay, ON. Since graduating in 2003 he has held the job titles of: Master Control Operator (The New RO, Pembroke, ON), Mobile Producer (Cogeco Cable, Pembroke, ON), ENG/EFP Camera Operator/Editor (A-Channel, Ottawa, ON), and most recently, Freelance ENG Camera Operator (The Score, Ottawa, ON). These jobs have given Ryan many experiences including covering the Ottawa Senators, covering National Affairs on Parliament Hill and personally interviewing many celebrities.
Ryan is familiar with and/or capable of using the following:
- SVHS, Betacam, DVC Pro, DV Cam, Mini DV and P2 cameras
- Non-linear editing systems (namely Newsbyte, and Premiere Pro)
- Linear editing systems (tape-to-tape)
- ENG/Studio lighting equipment (including set-up)
- ENG/Studio audio equipment (including set-up)
